The Green Room Foundation building lettering and site signage in Windsor

The project at a glance.

  • The brief: Help people identify the building and understand movement and parking instructions around the education site.
  • Building identity: 5mm acrylic letters mounted on stand-offs create separation from the masonry wall.
  • Parking and movement: Printed and laminated aluminium composite panels carry parking restrictions, 5mph notices and no-reversing instructions.
  • Cyclist awareness: A reflective warning sign draws attention to vehicles emerging from the driveway.
  • Freestanding signs: Timber posts support signs where a building-mounted position was not the appropriate option.
  • Ongoing work: The Windsor scheme followed an earlier acrylic signage project at the organisation’s Surrey site.

Why were different materials used across the site?

Each sign had a different job. Acrylic suited the building identity, printed aluminium composite panels carried site instructions, and reflective material was selected for the cyclist warning.
